The south of England has some of the most specular scenery in the UK. A popular resort for sunbathing in the area is a town called Bournemouth. In the summer months this resort is very popular with tourists and locals alike.
The main beach everyone appears to head over to is called Bournemouth. This is a very busy beach especially in the summer months. You can take a leisurely stroll along the promenade or through the gardens leading up to the main beach area called the Winter Gardens. Here you can stroll along the gardens looking at the many flower arrangements on display or perhaps sit back and listen to the band playing in the band stand or if you have a head for heights you can take a balloon ride.
A few miles outside Bournemouth you will find the harbour town of Poole which can be reached by bus or train or car. In Poole you can catch a ferry over to Jersey for the day or if you have your own yacht you can moor the boat overnight at the marina which is located beside the harbour. Anyone interested in sports can take out water skiing or hire a pedallo for a few hours down at Poole Park. Here you can also play some crazy golf and tennis or take a spin in the little ice rink which can be found in the middle of the park.
Across the bay from Poole you can hop on a ferry for quickness over to Swanage. This is a pretty little village with a Victorian style prom and lots of little amusements for the children which you can find at the front of the seaside.
As the coast line is diverse you can experience any number of different activities to suit your party. A visit to the New Forest may be of interest to you or the many themes parks in the area or perhaps a train ride to Brighton or London may be on your agenda. There will be something for everyone in this area.
