Exposing The Truth About Hotel Safety

By Joseph Tranturder

The famous "five star" rating system for Salt Lake City hotels is owned and privately conducted by the Forbes Travel Guide.

Driven by public demand for a master list of good, trustworthy hotels around the country, Forbes took on the responsibility of creating and consistently updating a hotel travel guide.

First, you should make sure that you can take the time that you need to look into the safe that they have provided for you in your room. You want to make sure that you know how you can work the safe and if there is an extra free for using it.

If the official inspector deems the property worthy, he or she will give the property three stars, and recommend an undercover inspector be sent to see if the hotel is worth one or two extra stars. That undercover inspector will stay a few nights at the hotel and try everything.

There are many things travelers should know about general hotel safety. No matter if you're traveling alone or on business, you should always be aware of how to stay safe at your hotel.

When you go into your room and you find that you do not have a safe, you should call the front desk. There are some hotels that do not provide a safe to each of the rooms but does have a central area where you can keep your valuables.

Of the 8,000 or so hotels that Forbes keeps track of, only a few dozen every make it to the five star rating. It makes you wonder what kind of accommodations warrant a five-star attention.

Many of those points have to do with the quality of the staff. Is the staff extremely well spoken, polite, and clear?

Second, when you are getting ready to leave your hotel room in the morning you have to be wise about the way that you gather up all of your possessions. Make sure that you take the time that you need to be smart about the process.

When you come to the pool, is there someone there to guide you to the towels and a seat? Are all public washrooms well-maintained with fresh towels and plants?

The rooms on these floors will be harder to break into, thus they will be less attractive for any eager thieves looking to steal. One thing about hotel safety that many people don't think about is personal security.

Third, you will also want to make sure that you are wise about what you are packing. There are a lot of people that end up bringing way more than they need on vacation because they feel that they may end up needing everything that they have packed.

Your bathroom is equipped with a telephone. You have a fully functional CD player or stereo.

Fresh flowers are present. Separate showers are available in the same bathroom.

Fourth, you should also make sure that you understand how you are going to keep yourself safe. Make sure that you take the time that you need to ensure that the hotel you are choosing to stay in is going to be safe.

This is the picture of a five-star Salt Lake City hotel. It not only provides you a clean place to stay, but it gives you all of the services, opportunities, and materials of the best host.

Hotel safety is important when you are on vacation. You want your vacation to be filled with happiness and good memories, so thinking about safety is always relevant.
