Hot Tips For Flying

By Francis Mitchell

Arranging your family vacation can be a daunting task but also very pleasant at the same time. Keeping everyone happy before and during the airport check in is a must.

Long haul flights require a little bit of pre planning and booking the nest seats for you on them is number one on your list. This can be arranged at the booking stage of your flight which is probably the best time to arrange this. A preference for window view or perhaps if you have long legs then an aisle seat would suit you best. Look over the lay out of the seats and select the ones which you and your family like the best.

Leave the emergency seating of the plane for adults to sit on as young people are not allowed to sit in this type of seat due to the proximity to the emergency doors.

Delays are possible on flights which can not be avoided even for those who plan a meticilous time line planner. A straight through non stop flight might stop many delays as they cut out the stops and delays at other airports making your flight less likely for a delay.

A safety point of view around airports would be to keep all belongings close to your side at all times and don't let your guard down as not every traveller is going on holiday.

Double check your arrival and check in times and arrive in plenty of time to avoid any delays on the road into the airport. Don't forget the added security which is now in place at most airport due to recent terrorist attacks. A 2 to 3 hour arrival prior to take off is now recommended.

Last but not less paperwork requires to be in order before flying. So check over passport expiry dates and flight tickets. Make sure all your paperwork is in order and packed in the one place.

Making sure you have a seat on board a plane by checking into your flight on the web. Have a safe flight.
